In this workshop we will look at three of the biggest headaches companies face when trying to manage English capability within their organisations.

We will focus on how an effective competency framework can help resolve these headaches, and function as stable, transparent and practical tool to manage English performance in the areas of recruiting, training and development.

A properly implemented competency framework enables people managers to set realistic targets and benchmarks, and it has the added advantage of helping manage the expectations of bosses, managers and other staff. The workshop will conclude by looking at competency-based assessment tools.
